A true authentic 50’s style Hotel from the furnishings to the decor including garages storing oldie/vintage vehicles. What a cool place! Conveniently located by public transportation and city center. All the staff were attentive, super friendly, helpful, and personable. Fantastic customer service!!
AC sometimes worked, mostly didn't. Rooms are quite 'antique' but not necessarily charming. Good location and the landscape is gorgeous.
We arrived late and the only room left was apartment C. Very disappointed about this room. Very dated, no ambiance and poor quality of the beds. WiFi connection didn't work neither. The only positive thing was that it was very clean. The price of CHF 140.- per night is way too much for this room. Half this price would do or you will have to update it. Very friendly staff though..can't blame it on them.
Cool 50s style, nice breakfast, very attentive service staff, large pool area. Smallish rooms, but clean and tidy. Will come back!
We stayed with our 3 kids and we all had a fantastic time. We had connecting rooms and everybody was very kind and helpful. Our smallest one (6) and our older daughters had a great time at the pool and with the avaiable amenities. Good restaurant too. We also Likes the fact that there was a bus stop near the hotel so we could go to the centre of Lugano town with publuc means. Cool 50s decor in the whole hotel.
Friendly staffs with a very cool 50's look hotel. Everything was perfect until we went to the diner and order the BBQ spare ribs. They were so dried and hard. It's like the meat that you cooked, then re-baked in the oven, then deep-fried it again to reheat it before serving. There's no flesh left to enjoy but a piece of hard wood-feel meat that covered by the sauce to hide. We asked the friendly service lady to change it. We did get a new plate with the dried pieces of ribs again. This time we just accepted the facts that this may be the way that they serve the ribs here. If we wanted some moistured BBQ ribs with soft meat to chew, just go to Buffalo Grill, or somewhere else.
Clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful multingual staff. Funky 50s decor. Rooms at front with garage space below are the ones to book. Rear rooms are somewhat small. Free bus pass for duration of stay is very good - 10 mins bus trip to central Lugano.
Front desk staff member was very helpful and friendly. Each room has a private garage, but the entrance is quite small. There are some other parking spots, but not many.
